About Our Courses


Class Size
In general, courses have between 6 and 20 participants. Having at least 6 assures that each participant will benefit from the experience and perspective of at least 5 others during discussion forum activities. 

Graduate Credit & Iowa License Renewal
ALL of our courses are accredited and may be taken for either Iowa license renewal credit or graduate credit. 
ALL of our courses meet the Higher Learning Commission and Federal Government requirements for Master's Degree level courses

All of our courses offered through the Iowa State Education Association (ISEA) have been approved for graduate credit hours through Drake University located in Des Moines, Iowa.

All of our courses offered through AEA Learning Online are also accredited. With courses offered from AEA Learning Online, however, you can choose 1 of 3 institutions to receive your credits from. Our courses have been approved by all 3 for graduate credit. When you register, you will be allowed to choose to receive your credits through Drake University, Morningside College or Viterbo University. Drake University, Des Moines, IA is accredited through the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, The Higher Learning Commission, The Iowa Department of Education, The Iowa Board of Educational Examiners and others. Morningside College, Chicago, IL, is accredited through the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary

Viterbo University is located in Lacrosse, WI with a satellite center in Des Moines, IA. It is accredited through the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools, The Higher Learning Commission, National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, and others  (Click here to be taken to Viterbo University's accreditation information.)

Moodle
Course are done completely online using the Moodle program.  If you are unfamiliar with Moodle, it is not an application that you need to download or install. Instead, it is simply a website you access and use through your internet browser. 

Instructors
Course instructors monitor discussion forums and offer feedback on activities and assignments. They are always available to answer any questions you may have about courses, coursework and technology.
