Online Professional Development for Your Building or District
If you are an Administrator or PD Coordinator looking for relevant, quality, professional development for your educators, then you’ve come to the right place. Educate Teachers can help. Here’s how:
Customize
1. Courses: You can choose from over 20 courses in our catalog and, if necessary, we are happy to work with you to customize any course to meet the specific needs of your educators. If you don’t see a specific course in the catalog, we can also work with you to develop a new course.
2. Schedule: You decide on the dates a course is open to your educators. Perhaps you want their training finished by Thanksgiving. Perhaps you want them to have the training in the month of March. Whatever your time frame is for completion, we can design a schedule that works for you.
3. Participants: Depending on the number of educators you register, participants will be placed into cohorts of 15-20. This is an optimum range for having discussions and collaborating with classmates. Cohorts can also be arranged to meet your needs. For example, you may feel your educators would benefit more by being in cohorts grouped by grade level, or content area. The choice is yours.
General Information
1. All of our courses are accredited and can be taken for graduate credit or Iowa license renewal credit.
2. All of our courses are actively facilitated by experienced Iowa educators who monitor all discussions and offer feedback and coaching on assignments.
3. All of our courses are online and self-paced (to be completed within the set dates of the course) to accommodate participants’ different schedules. Course design, however, allows participants to interact with classmates in order to assure an exchange of knowledge and ideas and facilitate collaboration.
4. All of our course are streamlined and easy to follow, with the inexperienced, online student in mind. Nevertheless, questions do arise. We are available to every participant 24-7 to offer assistance and answer any questions about coursework or technology.
