What can teachers do to help parents and caregivers?

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has disrupted the lives of children in all areas of their being...socially, academically, medically, athletically...it goes on and on.
This trauma can stick with children a lifetime.

Routines are changed drastically during the pandemic, school may be non existant or altered and important adults may "disappear."

During this time, parents may have difficulty following  through on health care visits. They may not be able to afford health care at all and medications, food, shelter and clothing may be a struggle to obtain.

The CDC has created the COVID-19
Parental Resource Kit: Ensuring Children and Young People’s Social, Emotional, and Mental Well-being
to provide support to the adults in a child's life. This is a resource that you may direct parents to as well as gain some ideas for your students.
